The Quincy Mine had their first stamp mill at Ripley, MI.

To reach the mill, the Q&TL crossed under the Copper Range railroad bridge and over the Mineral Range (H&C) railroad via a bridge, going down the hill. [NHMC-1943]


Time Line

1887. The Quincy Stamp Mill at Hancock has been obliged to shut down for a month on account of broken engine shafts. [AR-1887]
