This exclusive program combines rare access with hands-on opportunities. The day begins with a welcome presentation aboard a historic dining car, including a Q & A with the mechanical team about the legendary Pere Marquette 1225. Guests will enjoy a catered lunch before boarding a coach for a special trip to the shop, where they'll tour the facility and get an up-close look at 1225 - and maybe even operate the historic turntable! Guests will also have time to explore exhibits and the gift shop.  This full-day event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Steam Railroading Institute in Owosso, Michigan.
