The CP Holiday Train comes through the rail tunnel from Windsor to Detroit. After passing through US Customs the train will proceed through West Detroit, Delray, and then west on the Norfolk Southern (using CP trackage rights) line through Romulus, Bellville, Milan, Adrian, North Morenci and into Indiana, arriving the next day in Chicago. 

The train does not stop in Michigan but is normally lighted. It usually passes through Detroit and these Michigan stations between 8:00 pm and midnight.
