Terminal: Bay City MI - (MC)

The Bay City Terminal began with the logging industry and the arrival of the Jackson, Lansing & Saginaw (Michigan Central) and the Flint & Pere Marquette (C&O) railroads. They were joined by the Grand Trunk Western and the Detroit, Bay City and Western railroad.

Both the Pere Marquette and Michigan Central operated Water Street industrial lines along the river and had belt line around Bay City.

After declines in the logging and salt industries, other manufacturing businesses including boat yards and the Industrial Works (cranes) provided business to railroads, and then automative suppliers prospered. The sugar industry also has been a large user of railroads, bringing sugar beats to Bay City and sugar fructose shipments out.
