Station: Fayette, OH

Fayette, OH depot Fayette, Ohio, is a small town in Fulton County. just south of the Michigan state line. Fayette was the abrupt end point of an 1880's effort by the Chicago & Canada Southern (CASO) railroad to build a line from Ontario, across the Detroit River at Grosse Isle, and on to Chicago via Dundee and Morenci. The railroad apparently ran out of money here, though the line was graded west of here.

Photo Info: A view of the Lake Shore depot in Fayette with a two car passenger train ready to go east. This may have been taken around the turn of the century, after the Lake Shore had taken over the CASO.
