Station: Ypsilanti State Hospital, MI

The state-run Ypsilanti Regional Psychiatric Hospital was located in York township between Platt Road, Bemis Road, Willis Road and US-23. Like many other state psychiatric hospitals, the facility housed many hospital buildings, as well as a power plant and fire station.

YRPH's power plant was served by a 1/2 mile long branch line off the Ann Arbor railroad main line (Toledo to Frankfort) at Urania. Urania also had a passing siding here.

Notes

Location of YRPH switch: 42o09.933'N / 83o42.659'W.

The Hospital was closed and torn down by the State of Michigan in the early 1990's. The site is now a technical center for Toyota and does not receive rail service.
