Station: Greenwood, MI (Ogemaw County)

Greenwood was founded about 1870 in southern Ogemaw County. During the period from 1870 to 1895, about 2,000 men were employed in about 50 lumber camps in the area. In 1878, Greenwood became a station on the Michigan Central's Mackinaw Branch, about 10 miles southeast of West Branch. [MPN]
