Railroad: Paris & Pere Marquette River Railroad Company, The

The Paris & Pere Marquette River railroad was organized in 1884 and built a logging line from the Muskegon River in Mecosta County (Section 10 T16N-R10W) about sixteen miles to its end in Lake County (Section 31? T17N-R11W] The line crossed the GR&I near Paris. The line was abandoned in 1889 after five years of operation. [MRL]
