Railroad: Pennsalt Railroad Company

This was a terminal railroad which connected Penna Salt Manufcaturing Co. on the river with the Detroit Southern railroad (predessor to the DT&I). [MRC-1909]


Built → Pennsalt Railroad  → Wyandotte Southern


Built: 1901 - Detroit River at Ecorse-Monguagon Twp. line to Detroit Southern Railroad.

Operated for 7 years.

Renamed: 1908 - as Wyandotte Southern.

Notes

The railroad was originally owned by Pennsylvania investors, likely affiliated with Penn. Salt.
