Near Wakefield. Line from Connorville to T48N-R46W and to T49N-R45/46W in Gogebic county. This was a private logging railroad. [MRRC]


Time Line

1938. The Connor Lumber & Land Co. agreed to recognize the American Federation of Labor, representing their sawmill and (lumber) yard employees, as well as employees of their railroad including train and section crews operating at the Connorville headquarters. [BHN-1938-0819]

1970. The railroad continues to run between logging camps and the Soo Line railroad. However the cost of the operation continues to be a burden on the company.
