The Adrian Street Railway company was organized in 1900 and was an electric street railway in the City of Adrian, Lenawee County. [MRL]

Operated independently for 8 years.

Leased to: Toledo & Western Railroad in 1907

Notes

This city railroad operated in a circle on E.Maumee, Wabash, Michigan and Locust streets, with a line off of the loop into the business district to Adrian College, over the Raisin River on W. Maumee, Scott and College Street.

The Car barn was on W. Maumee street east of the DT&I railroad. The T&W interurban had depots downtown (until 1924) at near the Wabash depot east of town.


Time Line

1889. The railroad began in 1889, but was interrupted several times due to money problems.

1900. The line was reorganized as the Adrian Street Railway.

1907. The Toledo & Western interrurban line arrived and took over the line. [CERA]

1927. Disolved.
