Port of Ludington

The Port of Ludington is located on Lake Michigan in Mason County, about forty miles north of Ludington. The Pere Marquette conducted railroad car (and passenger) ferry operations from here to points in Wisconsin. The port continues to serve the SS Badger which is a passenger and vehicle ferry between Ludington and Manitowoc, Wisconsin. In addition to railroad cars, the port shipped out sand, salt and forest products.
