Port of Escanaba

The Port of Escanaba is located on Little Bay de Noc which is connected to Green Bay and Lake Michigan. The port is in Delta County. This port primarily receives coal by lake freighter and ships iron ore from the Marquette range. In earlier days, this port shipped iron ore from ranges located near Iron Mountain and Iron River, as well as ports north of Iron Mountain (Metropolitan, Randville, and Republic. Forest products were also shipped.
